August 10-11, 1999 at The Sheraton Ferncroft Hotel
in Danvers, Massachusetts
(25 minutes north of Boston)

Learn to do business with NASA. Hundreds of small and large businesses will have an opportunity to attend the technology and business sessions and the exhibit showcase; get a look at NASA's future programs, including international space station opportunities; and network with NASA field center representatives and prime contractors. Sheraton Ferncroft, Danvers, Massachusetts.

NASA wants to enable new growth, new jobs; be a presence in the economic force; encourage new technology and new cost structures; improve on processes; expand strategic alliances and partnering opportunities.

Hosts of the conferences are The National Aeronautics & Space Administration, and NASA's New England Outreach Center, CTC. Corporate sponsors are Lockheed Martin, The Boeing Company, TRW, Inc., and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Host: National Aeronautics and Space Administration

NASA implemented the pilot program in 1995 and has approved a number of applications and agreements for Mentor-Protégé relationships. The convening of this conference provides for enhanced discussion of program features and benefits while highlighting successful relationships.

Highlights include: Recognition of outstanding Protégé firms, sessions that will help build the program and provide necessary guidance to new relationships, and the presentation of the Goldin-Stokes Mentor-Protégé Award for 1999. Many of NASA's top prime contractors are current program participants. Your attendance at this conference may be crucial to your firm's future success in participating in one of NASA's most dynamic incentives, which has become a feature in the Agency's major source selections.

Hosts: National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA New England Outreach Center, Center for Technology Commercialization

This National Conference highlights NASA technology and business opportunities from the ten NASA field centers and their prime contractors. Representatives will be available to discuss their requirements and company capabilities they are looking for to build business relationships.

Highlights include: How to initiate and build relationships, ways to capture prime contracts and subcontracts, share information about your organizations, develop an understanding of how your firm or organization can acquire research dollars to build new products or services, and how to acquire NASA technology to expand or diversify your business.

Commitment to Excellence Awards Program
Tuesday Evening, August 10, 1999

The "Commitment to Excellence" Award is presented by the NASA New England Outreach Center and commends effort that furthers procurement opportunities and technology achievements that benefit businesses and organizations in New England, New Jersey, and New York.

Awards will be presented at a gala reception on Tuesday evening, August 10, 1999 at the Sheraton Ferncroft Hotel in Danvers, Massachusetts. Businesses, organizations, institutions, or individuals will be recognized in each of the following catagories:

Category: (1) Small Business (2) Small Disadvantaged Business (3) Small Women-Owned Business (4) Historically Black College, University, or Other Minority Institution.
Criteria: Outstanding effort as a NASA prime contractor, or subcontractor or in a related technology achievement during fiscal year 1999
Category: (5) Large Business (6) NASA Field Center Criteria: Outstanding effort in support of NASA's Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization program in procurement or technology programs during the fiscal year 1999 Category: (7) Industry Advocate (8) Government Advocate

Outstanding individual effort in support of NASA's Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization program during fiscal year 1999

Procedure: Nomination evaluations will be based on review of narrative content. Profiles or other background data will be accepted as relevant attachments. Nominations are due to the NASA New England Outreach Center by close of business, 5:00pm EDT July 2,1999. Award recipients will be notified July 9,1999. Self-nominations are accepted. Travel Information
Hotel: Sheraton Ferncroft Conference rate through July 23, 1999, or until sold out: $109/night plus tax. Reservations can be made by calling the Sheraton Ferncroft direct at 1-978-777-2500 ext. 7950. Conference rate reservations must be made by July 23,1999. Conference rate is available for August 7-11, 1999. After July 23, reservations are subject to available hotel rates.

Air Travel:
Logan International Airport is located approximately 25 minutes south from the Sheraton Ferncroft. See Shuttle Service to and from Logan Airport.
