NASA New England
Outreach Center Honors
All Points Logistics, Inc.
Sam McGee,
Chief Executive Officer, All Points Logistics, Inc., received the
NASA New England Outreach Center's "Commitment to Excellence"
Award at an awards ceremony culminating NASA's 12th Annual Technology
and Business Conference held in Albany, New York. All Points Logistics,
Inc. was recognized for outstanding subcontractor support to The
Boeing Company in its contracting role to NASA in meeting its mission
requirements on the Checkout and Assembly Payload Processing Services
Contract.
As a member
of the CAPPS team, All Points Logistics provides management services
for the Government Property System, the Technical Data Center and
the Payload Data Center. APL manages the CAPPS equipment, as well
as equipment for the International Space Station at the Kennedy
Space Center. Currently there are approximately 10,000 line items
of equipment valued at over $662 million on these two contracts.
APL maintains an impressive 99.7% inventory accountability rating
and a 98% inventory accuracy rate.
All contracted
work performed by APL has been delivered on time, or ahead of schedule.
Boeing recognizes APL's outstanding coordination, which has enabled
Boeing to furnish timely support to the NASA customer.
The NASA Technology
and Business Annual Conference featured technology and procurement
opportunities, discussions and networking between representatives
from NASA, prime contractors, and small, disadvantaged, minority
and woman-owned businesses. The conference was coordinated by the
NASA Business Outreach Program, NASA's New England Outreach Center
which is managed by the Center for Technology Commercialization,
CTC. CTC is also the Northeast Regional Technology Transfer Center
for NASA, which is one of six such NASA Centers. CTC's primary mission
is to help provide nationwide access to NASA-developed technology
and applications for industry commercialization.
